School Collaboration Programs – Empowering the Future Guardians of Nature

Since 2018, Nature’s Observer (CB) has been actively engaging with educational institutions to foster a deep-rooted sense of environmental responsibility among the youth. Through our School Collaboration Programs, we have partnered with over 100 schools across Kamrup Metro, Kamrup Rural, and Morigaon districts of Assam, creating a dynamic platform for environmental education, awareness, and action.

Our organization firmly believes that true change begins with awareness, and the best place to start is in the classroom. Children and young students are not only quick learners but also powerful influencers within their families and communities. By educating them early about the pressing environmental challenges of our time, we are equipping them to be the green leaders and change-makers of tomorrow.

 Our Mission

Our mission is to cultivate a culture of environmental consciousness among school students. As development continues to push the boundaries of urbanization, deforestation, and pollution, our Earth is suffering. Air, water, and soil are deteriorating. Wildlife is losing its habitat. Climate change is intensifying. In the face of this reality, it is essential that we raise a generation that understands the value of nature and the urgency of its preservation.

Through our programs, we:

• Motivate them to take active roles in protecting the environment through personal and collective efforts.

 Why Focus on Schools?

Schools are not just centers of academic learning — they are breeding grounds for social values, ethics, and behavior. Students are at a stage where learning is vivid and lasting, and their mindset is being shaped. When we introduce environmental education at this stage, it leads to:

 What We Do – Activities at a Glance

To engage students meaningfully, we offer a diverse range of interactive and impactful activities, including:

1. Digital Awareness Classes

We conduct structured digital sessions using presentations, videos, animations, and storytelling techniques to help students understand complex environmental issues in a simple and relatable way.

2. Environmental Talks & Motivational Sessions

Our team of experts, activists, and guest speakers hold inspiring sessions on topics like climate change, waste management, conservation, wildlife protection, and the role of youth in sustainability.

3. Art and Drawing Competitions

Creativity is a powerful tool for advocacy. We organize art, poster-making, and slogan-writing competitions with themes like “Save Trees, Save Earth,” “My Green Dream,” or “Beat Plastic Pollution.” These activities help students express their concern and love for nature artistically.

4. Cleanliness Drives

In collaboration with schools, we arrange cleanliness campaigns within school campuses and nearby areas. This encourages students to take pride in their surroundings and adopt clean, hygienic, and waste-conscious habits.

5. Tree Plantation Programs

Our tree plantation events allow students to plant and care for trees within or near their school premises. They learn the importance of afforestation and take pride in seeing their planted saplings grow over time.

6. Eco Clubs and Environmental Pledges

We support the formation of eco clubs in schools and encourage students to take environmental pledges. These clubs serve as platforms for continued action and dialogue around sustainability.
