Nature’s Observer (CB) Launches Massive Tree Plantation Drive in Kamrup Districts – #TreeDrive2025

We are proud to announce that Nature’s Observer (CB), a Guwahati-based NGO committed to wildlife and environmental conservation, has officially launched an ambitious mission to plant 10,000 saplings across Kamrup Metro and Kamrup Rural Districts within the year 2025.
This environmental initiative was officially flagged off on 5th June 2025, aligning with World Environment Day, and has been actively progressing since then. Our volunteers and activists have been working tirelessly on the ground to identify suitable plantation sites, engage with local communities, and ensure the survival and maintenance of each sapling we plant.
Why This Initiative Matters
With the growing challenges of climate change, urban pollution, deforestation, and loss of biodiversity, large-scale afforestation efforts have become not just important, but urgent. Trees are one of the most effective tools we have to combat carbon emissions, protect ecosystems, and improve the quality of life for future generations.
Through this mission, Nature’s Observer (CB) aims to:
- Enhance green cover in Kamrup Metro and Rural areas
- Promote biodiversity by planting native species
- Involve local communities, students, and stakeholders in eco-action
- Create awareness about long-term environmental sustainability
- Build a sense of collective responsibility towards nature
